Why do we became

Foundation for tuna conservancy

3 Tuna Companies joined in 2016 to realize the pre-assessment

On 2017, two new companies joined the group and started the Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) to achieve the Marine Stewardship Council Certification in TUNA Conservation through the working plan accomplishment.

Mission

Promote actions for the sustainability of the tuna purse-seine fishery in the Eastern Pacific Ocean;
b) Promote the maximum implementation of sustainable yield of tropical tuna stocks in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, based on scientific and technical studies;
c) Encourage and carry out technical training programs for the benefit of the tuna fishing industry, in order to achieve its optimum performance; and,
d) Support the reduction of environmental impacts on marine ecosystems and the strengthening of public and private management, both nationally and internationally.
