Within the framework of FAO’s “Responsible Fisheries Code of Conduct”, Countries must support efficient integrated monitoring systems. Much of the success of these programs is due to the presence of onboard observers.

  • Get real and good quality information.

  • Follow up the fishing activities on vessels.

  • To evaluate the environmental situation that allows managing exploitation levels for the development of sustainable fisheries.
